Currently it’s uni and the ever present mountain of assessments it brings but from mid-November until early march I’m on holidays. This is all very well but over three months of sitting on your arse isn’t really that fun and I’m unlikely to be able to get a Christmas casual job because I’m going to be off to Sydney in early January for my friend’s wedding and they tend to frown on that sort of thing.
So what on earth shall I do. Any causes I should dedicate myself to?
I have a couple of to-do-eventually’s
- Learn German
- Get back into french and finish Harry Potter et la coupe de feu (spelling may be off)
- sew some pretty summer doodads
- improve my skills in guitar
- Sketch copies of fashion spreads from my magazines (I have no visualization ability so I can’t draw unless I have something to copy. Other than that I’m actually not bad at art)
But in case you hadn’t noticed all of these are rather indoors pursuits and I have a feeling I’d be best off choosing one or two of these and finding something rather more productive to do with the rest of my time.
note to Colin: yes I know there is lots of housework I can do but I can hardly spend an entire three months just cleaning. The house simply isn’t that big :-p
Well, if you’re looking for things to do, or looking to find more out about yourself, check out this book: Chazown by Craig Groeschel. This is great for those at university or just trying to figure out life in general. good luck!
On a less useful note, you’d be amazed at just how much mess I can make, so housework might do the job!Or – Fancy rebuilding a classic BMW?Owzabout learning AJAX and PHP and helping me finally develop that killer web app I keep on talking about (and talking about, and talking about…)Erm, you could sort out my music/video/photo/stamp/keyring (pick one or more) collections?Let me think about this for a while…
Fine I’ll learn PHP and AJAX :-)That sounds like fun. Although its another indoors pursuit
