Demon Computer
admin | May 18, 2006Last night my computer turned itself on – twice! I was totally tripping out because I’m scared of the dark as it is and something in the dark was making my computer turn itself on. I had to turn on every light in the house before I went over and unplugged it.
The first time it turned itself on was 2-3 min after I turned it off but the second time was a good 15min later.
So weird.
Anyone have any rational explanations before I decide that my computer is possessed.
May be a power supply issue. A co worker had the same thing – the power supply died a short while later.
But what fun is a computer that only turns on when you tell it to?
I have a conundrum. See, if I give you a rational explanation, potentially fixing the problem, I may miss out on further hilarity.
I think I may have fixed it… A couple of friend suggested that it might be a worm and as illogical as this sounded I did a virus scan, found a worm, removed the worm and then turned my computer off and it didnt do it again.
